EXERCISE 3. (VOCABULARY AND SENTENCES)

Look up the meaning of words in table 1a on page 10 and write a sentence with each one of them. You can use you mini dictionary to do so.
  1. ACQUAINTANCE: someone you know, but not know well.
    Pablo is a friend that my boyfriend but he only is a acquaintance because we haven´t shared time.



  2. BOSS: someone who in charge of people in a organization.
    I should have a new boss in my job becouse carlos is a wrong person.



  3. COUSIN: a child of you aunt or uncle.
    John is the cousing of Pablo.



  4. HEADTEACHER: the teacher who is in charge of a school
    The headteacher of my college is an excellent person.



  5. NEIGHBOUR: Someone who lives next to you or near you.
    The neighbor of my friend is gossipy.



  6. RELATIVE: your relatives are the others menbers of your family.
    she is in London with her relatives.



  7. AUNT: the sirter of father or mother.
    The aunt of Paola sick.



  8. CLASSMATE: someone who is in the same class as you at school or collage.
    carolina is in my classmate and she is very funny.



  9. EX-GIRLFRIEND: a girl or woman with whom you formely had a romantic relationship which has now ended.
    I end with my ex-boyfriend because I didn´t want to him.



  10. HUSBAND: the man that a woman is married to.
    I went out to dance with my husband the weekend.



  11. NIECE: the daughter of your brother or sister.
    My niece is the prettiest girl of the world, she is a newborn child.



  12. STEPMOTHER: a woman who is married to your father, but who isn´t your mother.
    My stepmother is a very special person,but she will never be like my mother.



  13. BEST FRIEND: that friend that you know and like better than anyone else.
    My best friend and I, always are joined for everything and we us have confidence



  14. COLLEAGUE: someone you work with.
    I had a meeting with my colleagues of the district attorney's office yesterday.



  15. FLATMATE: someone who shares a flat with other people.
    The police said that we cannot do a holiday party without consulting with our flatmates.



  16. MOTHER-IN-LAW: the mother of your husband or wife.
    my mother in law is very special with me, She is like my second mother.



  17. PARENT: someone´s father o mother.
    I live with my parents and i´m the woman more happy of the land with them.



  18. STRANGER: someone you don´t know.
    I don´t know him, he is a stranger for me.
